The state government will have to pay Rs 600 per dose to buy
the corona vaccine 'Corona vaccine' made by Bharat Biotech. The Hyderabad-based
company made the announcement on Saturday. In the case of private hospitals,
the price of a single dose has been fixed at Rs 1,200.
The Serum Institute of India (SII), a vaccine manufacturer in
the country, had earlier announced the price of a single dose of Covid shield
vaccine, a joint venture between Oxford University and Astra Zeneca. The state
government has set a price of Rs 400 for a dose of corona ticker made by them.
On the other hand, private hospitals have to buy it at Rs 600. The Pune-based
company has also faced criticism over the price. However, the price of the
India Biotech vaccine was announced on Saturday night, which surpassed the
serum.
Why is the price of Corona vaccine so high? India Biotech has
also given its own argument about this. chairman of managing director of the
company Krishna M Illah, claims that the cost of making the covid vaccine has been
raised to cover the cost. He said the cost of testing the vaccine, including
its production, came from the company's own funds.
